I won this book in a giveaway and I'm really glad I did. I've read a lot of Christian books over the years, some good, some terrible, many somewhere in the middle. This book cuts through so much wrong teaching, thinking and doing that goes on in our churches, mind and homes. Founded on strong scriptural references David Corbin expands and explains what the bible really teaches on issues such as tithing and giving, faith, speaking in tongues and the receiving of the Holy Spirit. It's a powerful b [...]
This book cuts through the various religious theories and opinions, which have created many doctrines as to what believers need to do to please God. This book is not intended to be another Christian book sharing the same information with believers again, but rather to give guidance and answers by looking at the Bible to see what the Scriptures have to say. This book provides every believer with an insight to the truths contained in the Word of God, not based on the author's opinion, but rather t [...]
This book made me laugh and cry. It surprised me as well as taught me a lot about the truth. I didn't know all the wrong path I was taking, all the sins I did in every chapter till I read this book. Thanks a lot David for your patience and guidance. Your book inspire me to move forward, continue to practice and improve myself. Believe and receive.
Things I derived from this book: I can sin all I want because I'm not actually being judged thanks to Jesus' sacrifice and if I truly believe I can turn water to wine and use the correct words, it will be done because the Holy Spirit will work through me to accomplish it. I cannot write a serious review of this book, because I did not read it seriously. It was too preachy for me which just leads to mockery from me while reading. It does seem that the author has a solid understanding of the Bible [...]
Overall, this book is pretty good. He states that radio-waves heat food in a microwave oven. In fact microwaves are what make a microwave oven heat up food. Also, loose needs to be changed to lose. Loosed needs to be changed to lost. Overall, a pretty good book but Protestant. Also, on the back there's two different U.S. prices. Good book, but it could have been better.
