Great book to read as a refresher. The book consists of all major philosophers from ancient times like Socrates and Plato to twentieth century philosophers. It's very interesting to see the diverse uses of logic. I can agree and disagree with parts of each theory. It's interesting. Some of it is dry but that may be because of translation.

I LOVED this textbook. Teaching you basic principles of philosophy with actual texts by famous (or not so famous) philosophers. Would read again!

I'm using this in the intro. class I'm currently teaching. The translation of the Meditations that it contains is horrible. And I mean horrible.

I liked the way of learning by questioning, but thranslations are horrible easier to read the complete works.

Decent introduction to Philosophy, though multiple sides to an argument are not always fairly represented.
